Our Children’s Vision campaign’s global partner meeting kicks off in Srilanka
Ambakandawila, Sri Lanka, February 5-6, 2017: Our Children’s Vision, the global initiative upscaling, accelerating and expanding eye health services to more children around the world, hosted dozens of representatives from their international partner base. The meeting brought together leaders in the eye health and development field to scrutinize health integration models and resource mobilization strategies and discuss topics ranging from current eye health standards for children to the latest research in school health. NEW YORK CITY – Dr. Kovin Naidoo, chief executive officer of the Brien Holden Vision Institute (Australia), will receive the honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Optometry for making lasting contributions to eye and vision care. He will join the College’s graduating class on Thursday, May 24, at the Roosevelt Hotel in midtown Manhattan during the 2018 commencement ceremony.
