Get back to business safely.
1. Reorganize
Adjust your office and schedule. Make sure there is enough room in your office and in your schedule to ensure physical distancing is maintained.
2. Screen for Signs of COVID-19
Keep everyone safe by surveying twice when the patient calls to schedule an appointment or when the patient arrives at the door.
3. Refer and Reschedule
Guide patients to get immediate care. If a patient is showing signs of COVID-19, refer them to their general health care practitioner, and ask them to follow up to schedule a new appointment.
4. Protect your staff and yourself
Request all patients and staff to wear a face mask. Patients and anyone accompanying them should wear face masks and ensure sufficient personal protective equipment is available for your staff.
5. Sanitize and disinfect
Take the time to wipe down the office. Sanitizing and disinfecting should take place between patients and in the entire office including the entrance area/waiting room, exam room, equipment, and surfaces touched by patients including frames.
